Silviculturists in the lake states manage for wood production as well as ecosystem services for multiple uses. In this complex environment, genetics is more applicable than ever before, especially as we confront a changing climate. Carrie will discuss how silvicultural treatments impact the genetics of forests, and how knowledge of genetics may validate silvicultural prescriptions.
