2017 Webinar: Habitat for Minnesota’s Forest-dependent Wildlife – Status and Trends

We have re-recorded a portion of Mark Nelson's July 2017 webinar to fix a sound problem early in the original presentation.

We are planning a major event on forest management and wildlife for October 10 and 11 in Grand Rapids. This webinar will "set up" that event with a deep dive into the condition and trends in northern Minnesota forests. Dr. Mark Nelson with the US Forest Service's Forest Inventory and Analysis unit will focus on aspen-birch and long-lived conifer communities. Relying primarily on data from FIA and the Northern Forest Futures project, he will also discuss likely future conditions for forest-dependent wildlife. Whether or not you plan to attend the October event, the presentation will inform forest and wildlife managers, landowners, and others interested in balancing forest productivity and wildlife habitat.

Date: Recorded Tuesday July 18
Speaker: Mark Nelson, US Forest Service, Northern Research Station
