2017 Workshop: Forester-Logger Collaboration

A timber harvest site in Cass County MN. This was a clearcut with all pine and bur oak reserved. The site has profuse but patchy aspen regeneration, mostly in the open spots.

This series of workshops is offered in partnership with the Minnesota Logger Education Program. The focus is on improving communication and shared understanding. The mixed group of logging contractors, public- and private-sector foresters will spend time in the classroom and woods discussing operational, silvicultural, and other issues.
