2019 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review

2018 Research Review poster session

SFEC's 2019 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Cloquet Forestry Center.

The purpose of the event is to present new applied research relevant to regional natural resource managers, with a focus on silviculture, forest management, and forest-based wildlife. This focus includes research related to policy, economics, inventory, remote sensing, and other topics pertaining to forests and associated natural resources.

The audience is professional natural resource managers - this is an excellent opportunity to make land managers aware of your research results, and to influence land management activities.

Location: University of Minnesota Cloquet Forestry Center, 175 University Rd, Cloquet, MN 55720
Cost: $75 SFEC members, $40 students, $140 others, prices increase 10% after 5:00pm on January 3, 2019

CEUs: Continuing education credits will be available for this event. Information on credits will be posted as it becomes available.

Call for proposals:

Please consider submitting a proposal for the 2019 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review. Presentations are short, emphasizing applied results and relevance to land managers.

  • Oral: 15 minutes + Q&A 
  • Poster: standard poster presentation plus a 5-minute "lightning talk" to introduce the work.

Deadline: Proposals for oral and poster presentations has been extended. The call will close at noon on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
