Seeking presentation proposals for the 2018 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review

November 3, 2017

We are seeking oral and poster presentations for SFEC's 2018 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review. If you have research results that professional resource managers should know about, we would like to hear about them.

About the event:

SFEC's 2018 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review will be on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the University of Minnesota's Cloquet Forestry Center.

The purpose of the event is to present new applied research relevant to regional forest, wildlife, and other resource managers, with a focus on silviculture, forest management, and forest-based wildlife. Presentations addressing policy, forest inventory and analysis, and related research are also welcome.

The audience is 90-120 professional natural resource managers - this is an excellent opportunity to make land managers aware of your research results, and to influence land management activities.

Proposal formats:

Presentations are short, emphasizing applied results and relevance to land managers.
       Oral: 15 minutes + Q&A
Poster + lightning talk: standard poster presentation plus a 5-minute "lightning talk" to introduce the work.
       Poster only

Deadlines and how to submit:

Submit your proposal for SFEC's 2018 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review here.  Nominations for oral presentations close at 11:59pm Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Proposals for poster presentations will close November 30, 2017.
