Seeking proposals for SFEC’s 2016 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review
We are seeking oral and poster presentations for SFEC’s 2016 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review. Do you have research results that you want to get out to land managers? We would like to know about it.
About the event:
SFEC’s 2016 Forestry and Wildlife Research Review will be on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Cloquet Forestry Center.
The purpose of the event is to present new applied research relevant to regional forest, wildlife, and other resource managers, with a focus on silviculture, forest management, and forest-based wildlife. Presentations addressing policy, forest inventory and analysis, and related research are also welcome.
The audience is 80-100 professional natural resource managers – this is an excellent opportunity to make land managers aware of your research results, and to influence land management activities.
Presentations are short, emphasizing applied results and relevance to land managers.
Oral: 15 minutes + Q&A
Poster: standard poster presentation plus a 5-minute “lightning talk” to introduce the work.
Nominations for oral presentations close at 11:59pm Sunday, November 8, 2015. Proposals for poster presentations will close December 18, 2015.
Direct any questions about proposal content or the submission process to Eli Sagor at (218) 409-6115 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
