Woods Work: Climate Change Tree Atlas

tree atlas output

CANCELED - We will be rescheduling this event at a later date.

The Climate Change Tree Atlas documents the current distributions and possible future habitats, following climate change, of 134 tree species in the eastern U.S. This session will give you hands-on experience with the Tree Atlas and a chance to learn from some of its developers what the Tree Atlas can and cannot be used to achieve. You’ll leave with a stronger understanding of what Tree Atlas outputs really mean, and how to apply them to your forest. As the climate continues to warm, the Tree Atlas will aid us in our ability to understand how individual tree species may respond to climate change, and to identify potential “winners” and “losers”.

What to expect: Version 4 has been recently released! Check out the Tree Atlas Page for more info. This event is more of a workshop than a webinar. Be ready to engage in discussion, and to actively participate in using the Tree Atlas during this event. Bring your current questions, and be ready to ask new ones!
