A classroom workshop for Ecosystem Silviculture 2026 course participants on operational considerations in treatment design and implementation. Includes financial, logistical, marketing, Site-level Guidelines, and other considerations. Satisfies the required Operations credit for the Ecosystem Silviculture course.
Over the course of the day, registrants will:
- Understand constraints on “ideal” prescriptions imposed by operational and financial considerations.
- Foster exchange, build understanding between loggers and resource managers by discussing operational and other practical constraints.
- Review the components of a good silvicultural prescription and discuss ways to clearly convey rationale and future treatments.
Cost: This event is only for members in the Ecosystem Silviculture 2026 course. $75 for members, $140 for non members, $40 for students. Prepaid Ecosystem Silviculture enrollees can use their discount code.
